What time of day should I take Dulcolax® Laxative Tablets?
It is recommended that you take Dulcolax® Laxative Tablets when you can allow 6 to 12 hours for the product to work. You may find that it is most convenient to take the product about 30 to 60 minutes before your normal bedtime in order to produce a bowel movement in the morning.
Is it safe to use Dulcolax® Laxative Tablets on a daily basis?
You may take up to 3 Dulcolax® Laxative Tablets a day for up to 7 days. If you need to use a laxative for more than 7 days, consult a doctor.
How many Dulcolax® Laxative Tablets can I take?
Adults and children over 12 years of age can take 1 to 3 tablets in a single daily dose for up to 7 days. If this is the first time you are taking this product, we recommend taking 1 to 2 tablets in a single daily dose, and the tablets are to be taken within 30 to 60 minutes before your normal bedtime to produce a bowel movement the next morning. With experience, you may increase your daily dosage to 2 or 3 tablets, if needed.
How do I use Dulcolax® Laxative Tablets?
Dulcolax® Laxative Tablets can be taken with water but should be swallowed whole. The tablets must not be chewed or crushed. They are very small and can be easily swallowed. Do not take Dulcolax® Laxative Tablets within 1 hour of consuming dairy products or antacids.
Can I chew or crush the Dulcolax® Laxative Tablets?
Dulcolax® Laxative Tablets can be taken with water but should be swallowed whole. The tablets must not be chewed or crushed.
Should I take the Dulcolax® Laxative Tablets before, after, or with meals?
Do not take Dulcolax® Laxative Tablets within 1 hour of consuming dairy products or antacids. The tablet has a special coating which protects the stomach so that it can be absorbed where it is needed most.
Can I use multiple Dulcolax® products together?
If you feel you need to use more than one Dulcolax® product, consult your healthcare professional.
How do Dulcolax® Laxative Tablets work?
Dulcolax® Laxative Tablets are designed to stimulate the intestines to cause a bowel movement. The tablets are coated to prevent the active ingredient from being released until it reaches the part of the intestines where it is needed to work.
